This is the second part of my Dallas Market Center Diary I’ll show you more decor trends and a bit of a southern taste!
Ro Sham Beaux has the most amazing lamps and chandeliers, they have a unique style plus this season they’re into pastels and a color that comes strong this year a light shade of Turquoise, I can see it everywhere!
This lamp comes in different colors, definitely one of my favorite lamp designs, so unique.
Ahoy Sailor! Sailor trend is back, with this comes the classic blue and white combination, this lobster dishes remind me of Sweden’s Crayfish Party, so cute!
More blue and white with a touch of gold at the IMAX stand.
I forgot the name of this brand, but it totally transported me to the Greek Islands.
This piece of furniture reminded me of the round stained glass windows in Florence, Italy. During Renaissance the Palazzos used this kind of round glass to replace only the small round broken pieces instead of replacing the entire glass window.
Gorgeous glass bottles!
This is a fun book collection, sorted out by color.
Now this is what I call a Winter Wonderland decor, whites and silvers with glass ornaments.
As I said, a light shade of turquoise is a huge trend for 2015 we can even see it on a Christmas tree.
I call this style Christmas Glam, you can’t go wrong with black and gold and some precious stones.
I’ve been after a Vagabond piece since my honeymoon in Aspen, we found this cute decor store near Ajax and I wanted to bring back home with me a nice little wooden bowl with a squirrel for nuts, now I find these amazing pieces at the Market Center, want them all!
This gem like soaps (yes I said soaps) are all over Pinterest, they really look like precious stones, they even have resin like soaps that smell like the real tree.
Let’s forget about trends and decor for a while, I want to talk about food! After our last day at the Market Center we headed out to Sissy’s Southern Kitchen on Henderson Av, with a nice yellow front door, we seated at their screened white porch.
The wooden interior and china hanging from the wall gives a cozy look.
My mom and I had for starters the Three Beet Salad and we shared Sissy’s famous Buttermilk soaked Fried Chicken with a cole slaw salad, a basket of homemade corn bread and biscuits with a delicious jalapeño jam. Not forgetting the vodka infused tea… delish!
Outside view of the porch, you can see my mom through the yellow door.
After lunch we had a walk on Henderson Av. and find this vintage store called Vintage Martini where you can find clothing, shoes, hats and accessories sorted out by date 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and sorted out by brands like Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton among others.
Hermès scarf collection heaven.
Having a look a the shoes! Hope you enjoyed my Dallas Market Center Part II now ready for my next trip!
